Hi, I’m Krystal and I am the founder of Worthy of Wellness. Thank you for taking the time out of your day, to be with me here and read about the work that I am so proud to immerse myself in.
I believe that we are all entitled to self care and an opportunity to create and live a life of health and wellness, but we don’t always prioritise or know how to do this by ourselves. I’ve seen time and time again health and wellbeing goals set, but not achieved. Which begs the question…why? The reasons for this are countless and there are many contributing factors, but these themes in my experience ring true. Lack of commitment and accountability to the goal (not really invested/lack of support), the goal is unrealistic and the BIG one, SELF BELIEF that it can be achieved.
I have been in the health and wellness industry for 15 years, and I’ve often found myself in roles of leadership; as a coach, mentor and role model for my family, friends, clients, co-workers and teammates. I have always had a passion for helping other people make positive lifestyle change by finding what works for them (and also addressing their limiting beliefs regarding their ability to change), and then practically applying it. I feel joy when I see other people succeed and practise the best versions of themselves.
Have I always prioritised my own health and wellness? No, I haven’t. It’s easy to give energy and support to others and neglect yourself (that’s me – I hear you say), but what I have learned from repeating this, is simple. When you are feeling healthy and well within yourself, when you are taking care of yourself that aligns with your values and that honours who you are, you are able to show up more often, and in deeper ways for the people around you that you love and care for. Nurture thy self, and then you can better nurture others.
Leaning into yourself, defining and honouring your values is a journey; one of progress and not perfection.
I learned early on that health is a continuum and that we move back and forth along it all the time. That is part of what makes us human. You are, at times, one decision away from changing the trajectory of your life and your health; for the better. You just need to decide that you are ready RIGHT NOW! and regardless of your environment and situation, you should know that you are always worthy of wellness.
My philosophy on life is to look at it in a holistic way. Focusing on health and wellness in one area of your life can have dramatic flow on affects in another aspect of your life. Using the wellness wheel, we can drill down to the elements of your life that need more focus, support and education so that you can better manage your health in that area. The wellness wheel provides us a breakdown of your financial, social, emotion, physical, environmental, intellectual, occupational and spiritual wellbeing.
Aspects of health and wellness over our lifetime will ebb and flow, and we wont always feel in control or balanced in all areas (I surely don’t, it’s always about progress not perfection). How we identify with, approach and manage stress, change and disruption in our life will influence our health and wellbeing outcomes. Finding the management tools and strategies is not a one size fits all approach, everybody is unique in what works for them; uncovering these is the key! Setting goals for our health, gives us direction, teaches us accountability and holds our focus.
If what I am talking about here resonates with you and you feel the need for support and guidance when it comes to improving your health and wellbeing, I’d love the opportunity to work with you.
I offer self care services; massage and reiki, and private consultations for those seeking support with stress management, sleep, life direction, values setting and the integration of spiritual/mindset practices.
If you’d like to know more about the work that I do and how I can support you, get in touch. I would love to connect.
